Medication Management
Medication can be a powerful tool—but it’s not the whole story. I offer careful, personalized medication management as part of a holistic treatment approach that supports your child’s full emotional and developmental well-being.
Accepting Patients in Tennessee and California

When is medication helpful?
If your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, or mood instability, medication may offer much-needed relief. It’s not a “quick fix,” but it can create space for therapy, connection, and growth to take root. For some teens and young adults, medication helps regulate emotions, improve focus, and restore balance.
Deciding to explore this path doesn’t mean something is wrong with your child—it means you’re choosing support.
My approach to prescribing
I never rush to medicate. Instead, I take time to understand the full picture—your child’s symptoms, history, values, and goals.
I collaborate closely with both you and your child to determine if medication is appropriate, and if so, which options align best with their needs. My training in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry allows me to tailor care to each developmental stage.
When we do use medication, I emphasize clarity, consent, and compassion every step of the way.
What to expect
Initial medication evaluations are comprehensive and held virtually, allowing your child to feel safe and at ease.
We’ll meet regularly to monitor progress, make adjustments, and ensure the medication is supporting—not overshadowing—the bigger picture of their growth. I also provide education about side effects, timelines, and what to look for between visits.
You’ll be fully informed and supported throughout the process.
Common concerns
- Will this change my child’s personality?
No—my goal is to help your child feel more like themselves, not less. When medication is working well, it should reduce distress, not dull who they are. - What if my child is resistant to taking medication?
That’s very common. I approach these conversations with empathy and patience, helping your child feel heard and involved in every decision. - Is medication the only option?
Not at all. I offer a range of support including therapy, lifestyle changes, and non-pharmaceutical interventions—and medication is just one part of the conversation.
